Next Generation DM: DM-Framework and Enhanced DM-OPEN 2.0
The FEMA Disaster Management Program is in the process of implementing a “Next Generation” system for providing the first responder and emergency management communities with improved capabilities for capturing critical incident- or disaster-related information, and an enhanced, interoperability platform for the exchange of that information with other responding organizations.
The new DM-Framework will ultimately replace the existing DMIS Tools with a user-friendly, browser-based interface, accessible across the full spectrum of computer operating systems.
DM-OPEN will provide enhanced capabilities for enabling information exchange either within the DM-Framework environment, or with other standards-compliant incident management software systems.
