Next Presentation: January 20, 2009 12:00 Noon Eastern
Topic: The Integrated Public Alert and Warning System

Happy New Year to all! You are invited to join us next Wednesday January 20, 12:00 Noon Eastern, for a special Joint Meeting of the DM Practitioner and Developer Special Interest Groups (SIGs). Antwane Johnson, Division Director and Program Manager for the Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS), and Wade Witmer, IPAWS Deputy Director, will provide an overview of the IPAWS concept of operations, current status, and plans for the transition of the Disaster Management-Open Platform for Emergency Networks (DM-OPEN) and DM-Framework collaboration and emergency management tools to the IPAWS Program. The move will be a simple shift of ownership within the agency to ensure the continued development and implementation of these services for the benefit of system users and stakeholders.

Please make plans to participate in this informative meeting on January 20th. We will use Live Meeting and a conference bridge to conduct this program, and your questions and comments will be welcome.

This program is intended primarily for software application developers. As always, your questions and comments are welcome. Please make plans to join us via conference bridge and Live Meeting.
